Ajisen Ramen in the Concourse food court was my last stop for a quick lunch before heading home. A bowl of ramen was a good way to end my shopping experience. Back then, I used to go there with my ex-wife who loves Asian comfort food, and so were my former cousins. Now that I'm free spirited, I got to choose whichever bowl of ramen that suits my palate. Thus, I choose plain, simple organic tofu. Though one costs almost $20, it's best to consume the whole noodle soup bowl as if my life depends on it. Even if I hardly find what's good on the menus the next time I visit Ajisen, I opt to choose any meat based ramen bowl, excluding the half egg.

This place is decent if you want a hot bowl of ramen on a cold rainy day. Service is quick and the ramen came out within 5 minutes of ordering. I got the spicy pork ramen and the broth did have a good kick but I wish it had more flavor. I actually really liked the chasiu pieces, there were smaller in size but thicker so it had a better mouth feel and it was tender and flavorful, the egg had good flavor but it was overcooked. Overall I would come here if I'm in the neighborhood and craving for some ramen since there's not many other ramen places in the area.

Haven't visited Ajisen in so many years! Glad to see that it's still around and survived the pandemic. This is located inside Westfield San Francisco Center. Small little place but tables get turned around fairly quick. Came on a Sunday for late lunch and actually there was no line at all! I went with the classic Ajisen Ramen and surprisingly enough I was able to finish the entire bowl! Usually, i have trouble eating the entire bowl at other ramen places because it's more on the heavier side and it starts to get overwhelming. Either I was super hungry or it was just simply good. The noodles were very unique, different from other ramens I've had, it's almost like a spaghetti noodle? But cooked Al dente so really enjoyed that. The broth was on the saltier end but I didn't drink too much of it. Overall, good ramen, good portion, good quality and not too pricey. Definitely would stop by again when I'm visiting the mall.

The best place to get my spicy ramen fix before the movies. Had a bowl of liquid fire before seeing Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3 on IMAX. It was my 3rd visit since February. This place is consistently good. I had been looking forward to it ever since I ordered the movie tickets. Ajisen did not disappoint. Service was good and the young man made sure my glass of water was filled to douse the burning cauldron in my mouth. As always, I left satisfied and wanting an ice cream to cool off my cake-hole.
